About Me
Hello, my name is Kyree N. Klimist and I am a psychotherapist, licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist for 35 years. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan but have lived in the SF-Bay Area for 40 years. I came out as a lesbian in 1979 and have worked my entire career with the LGBTQ+ community.
I provide gender-affirming care for trans and nonbinary adults across California. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions—especially those who want thoughtful, depth-oriented care outside the limits of insurance.

Therapy can be one of the few places where you don’t have to filter yourself. My goal is to offer a space that feels steady, respectful, and real—where you can explore what’s hard, but also reconnect with what feels possible.

You don’t have to explain yourself here.
Finding a therapist who gets it—without you having to educate them—can be exhausting. Whether you’re early in your gender journey or years into it, you deserve a space where your identity is understood, respected, and held with care.
