Finances/Fees

Please contact me to set up a free fifteen minute consultation.

I maintain a practice based on a foundation of social and economic justice, in order to ensure those who choose to work with me for their mental health care are able to access treatment. This has meant that I have operated on a sliding fee scale below the market rate for most of my time as a therapist. I will continue to negotiate appropriate fees for folks whose income is lower than $100,000 or have extenuating circumstances. Though I have been slowly adjusting this fee schedule over the last years to meet the rising cost of living in the Bay Area, it has not caught up with what many therapists charge for their services.  Individual sessions are 55 minutes. Therefore, as of March 1st, 2026 the parameters for determining your fee will be as follows:

  • Income of $200,000+    $250 per individual session

  • Income of $100,000+     $200 per individual session

  • Income below $100,000  negotiated with therapist

  • Should your income be more than $300,000, please consider paying more, it helps me be accessible to more community

I am happy to be in conversation about any and or all of this.

Thank you for your understanding and thoughtfulness.

Private Pay:

  • I accept payments via Venmo and Paypal.  Payment is expected on the same day as your session

Insurance:  At this time my insurance slots are full.

  • I do contract with companies that manage my relationships with some insurance companies (feel free to ask me which) but I do not communicate with any insurance companies on your behalf.  I am also  happy to provide a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company.

  • Please be aware that insurance companies may require a diagnosis that stays in your record.

  • Most insurance companies do not cover marriage/couples counseling. â€‹

Good Faith Estimate of Cost
By law, if you are a private pay client (not paying with insurance) you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of Cost. This will be provided after we speak.
